The 18 by 15 inch block has four isolators and carries 65 pounds at 1.75 inches thick or 55 pounds at 3 inches. The 22 by 16 inch block has six isolators and carries 100 pounds at 1.75 inches or 90 pounds at 3 inches. The thicker block weighs more itself, which is why its rating is lower.
No minimum is published, but an isolator loaded far under its rating never reaches its working range, so a 20-pound turntable sits better on the zaZen. Add the block's thickness to your turntable's height when checking a rack shelf, and allow width for an outboard motor.
Maple has a light amber color and a Janka hardness of 1450. Walnut is dark brown with visible grain and a Janka hardness of 1100. IsoAcoustics says both woods perform the same, so the choice is appearance. The isolators are recessed into the block and fastened to it.
