Bolted it onto my L3-18 this morning and the lamp stands rock solid on my desk now, no more tipping when I angle the neck low. The metal base feels heavy and well-machined, exactly what I needed for studio work.
The metal base adds just enough heft that the lamp stays put even when I angle the gooseneck fully out—no more tipping over mid-task. Bolting it on took less than a minute with the included hardware, though I wish it felt a bit more solid for the price.
